Silence, 2018

Let me start at the very beginning, a very good place to start, right?

A year ago, we started the process of downsizing from a large 1880's farmhouse to an updated but considerably smaller home. Both homes are next door to each other making it a fairly easy process in theory. Between work schedules and life in general this process has taken a while and has left me without a "studio"/work space which is very frustrating.

A few short months ago, in the middle of this ongoing slow move from one home to another, I was feeling creatively stagnant. I took a webinar for artists as a career builder. My intention was to grow my knowledge and find new ways to push myself forward in the art business.

I found the information very helpful and I messaged the instructor to offer my gratitude for the webinar course. I didn’t know then that reaching out would turn into something far more exciting. I received a phone call shortly after, it was the instructor asking me about my process and my work in general. This conversation ended with him offering me a solo show, my first solo show!

This March it will open and I am so excited I can hardly stand it!

More details will come soon, but the show will be held at South Suburban College in Holland, IL.

UPDATE:

The show started running at on March 4th and will be up until April 4th. I will be at South Suburban College for an artist reception, if you would like to visit the show.

More details can be found at the event page.
