Week one (6/15) of my first semester of PH 100: FUNDAMENTALS OF PHOTOGRAPHY with Andrea Land
Shoot two images using:
1. One using asymmetrical elements
2. One using size and scale to indicate depth or perspective -- In other words, don't just place two items next to each other, but consider an arrangement that transforms our sense of space.
Image 1 is use of size and scale
Image 2 is asymmetrical
Chaotic Yellow
The design elements I see in the image are first an asymmetrical composition. That contains repetition, tension and variety. Where I see the repetition and the variety is in the the seeds (at least that is what they look like to me). The seeds are repeated through most of the image. The variety is found in the size and shape differences of the seeds. Finally, Tension is created by making the splatter pattern part of the composition.
In your own words, please discuss the principles of design used in the image "Chaotic Yellow."
Please be complete in your analysis. Remember to review the principles of design; draw from these in developing your analysis. Also address how this image, made against a flat surface, creates the illusion of depth.
